Why blog?

“The kingdom of heaven is like a treasure hidden in a field, which a man found and covered up. Then in his joy he goes and sells all that he has and buys that field.” (Matt 13:44) 

This blog is about finding treasure. Will you join me on this quest? Sometimes I’ll be sharing my thoughts with you, or taking you along the journey to answer a question. These things will mainly have to do with the Bible. I’m grateful for all the folks who’ve found some treasure and decided to share it, and my hope is that these blog posts might be of some value to you as well.

Wayword?

In the Bible, the term “wayward” is often used to describe someone who has strayed from the path of life (that’s us!). Fortunately, the Word became flesh and dwelt among men. He lived a sinless life, died an atoning death, was buried, and rose from the grave, showing us that He is the path, or the Way, to life. By faith in Him our waywardness is redeemed, and we can practice walking in the Way of the eternal Word (Jesus!).

“I will heal their waywardness and love them freely, for my anger has turned away from them.”
